Feelings of Fatherhood

September 17, 2012

Before I first locked eyes with my daughter Selah, three months ago, I prayed repeatedly that I would fall in love with her. I prayed that I would feel what God feels for her. God, of coarse, is a faithful God and he gives more than we could ever imagine or dare to ask for.

Lately, I have noticed a growing affection for every baby I see. There are a lot of them at IHOPKC and they all make heart melt. I’m not a very emotional guy, so I know this has been an experience only God can orchestrate. He is slowly revealing our calling to be involved with children in some capacity and we are looking forward to where it is going.

For now we pray for the lives of unborn children every Thursday and we are also participating in walkathon to help raise money for the women’s clinic in Kansas City.
